Heather Elaine Moat

Heather Elaine Moat of Headland AL, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 44 years old.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

Heather was born on April 14, 1977 in Dothan AL to David and Patty Dawkins. She was a 1995 graduate of Northview High School and received her licensed practical nursing degree from Wallace College. Heather worked as a nurse for several years in the healthcare industry. She was a devoted mother to her son who was her whole world. Heather will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Heather was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, RB Parker and her paternal grandfather, Jack Dawkins.

She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Moat; her son, Parker Harrison; her stepchildren, Ashton and Jayden Moat; her parents, David and Patty Dawkins; her maternal grandmother, Sara Parker; and her paternal grandmother, Barbara Dawkins.
