Columbia...Helen Bottoms Pelham, a resident of Columbia, passed away early Friday morning, August 16, 2019, at a Dothan Hospital. She was 80.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 18, 2019, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Cemetery in Webb, with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating, with Wright Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s honor to a favorite charity.

Mrs. Pelham was born in Geneva County, to the late Jake C. Bottoms and Elafair Ard Bottoms. She graduated from Slocomb High School. Helen enjoyed gardening her flowers and working in her yards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Allen Pelham; and a sister Betty Smith.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Catherine Etheridge (Van) of Columbia, AL; a son, Phil Pelham (Madge) of Webb, AL; three grandchildren, Tiffany Thurman, Brad Thurman, and Justin Vann(Becky); five great-grandchildren, Rhyleigh Kate Thurman, Charlie Thurman, Brayden Thurman, Jack Vann, and Owen Van; a brother, Billy Bottoms (Fettie); several nieces and nephews.
