Helen Deal Toler passed away on July 20, 2017, at the Wesley Place Nursing Facility. She was 90 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at Big Creek Methodist Church at 11 A.M. Monday, July 24, 2017 with Rev. Addis Habbard and Rev. Chuck Nordstrom officiating. Burial will follow at Big Creek Methodist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Monday, July 24, 2017.

 

Helen was born in Alabama, on October 12, 1926 to the late Cas Deal and Essie Baell. She was a long time member of Big Creek United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School in her younger years. She was a graduate of Rehobeth High School, and previously employed at Warners. Helen devoted most of her life to her family; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

 

Beside her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Toler, daughter, Sandra Denise Toler, and several brothers.

 

She is survived by son, Darren Toler (Donna) of League City, TX; sisters, Myra Watford of Cottonwood, AL, and Jayne Carsten of Cades, SC; grandchildren, Cassandra Toler; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Big Creek United Methodist Church, 8071 S. State Hwy. 605, Cottonwood, AL. 36320
