Helen Elizabeth Stephens Howard, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama went home to be with her Lord, Monday, October 7, 2024, at her residence. She was 64 years old.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula with Rev. Drexel Copeland officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made to The Gideons International- P.O. Box 140800 Nashville, TN 37214-0800.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. EST at the Haddock Family Cemetery in Kings Ferry, Florida.

Helen was born December 9, 1959, in Yukon, Florida to the late Shelby Byrd and Cornelia Ann Martin Stephens. She worked for BP Oil, Gate Petroleum, and retired after 25 years of service from Bakerhill Water Authority. She enjoyed gardening, hummingbirds, watching Survivor, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Helen attended the Family of God Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roberts Stephens and John David Stephens; sister, Marsha Ann Stephens.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of over 40 years, Larry Earl Howard; two sons, William Howard (Kim) of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey and Robert Scott Howard (Danel) of Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Jennifer Markham (JR) of Jacksonville, Florida; brother, Jimmy Stephens (Laurie) of Middleburg, Florida; two sisters, Linda Gant of Glenn St. Mary’s, Florida and Debra Stephens of Jacksonville, Florida; five grandchildren, Taylor Lokey, Amber Howard, Jonathan Howard, Megan Howard, and Jessica Howard.
