Henry C. Lewandowski passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the age of 83.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at New Home Baptist Church, Samson, AL with Rev. John Dowdy officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to an organization very dear to his heart, Rays of Sunshine, Brown Bag Initiative, 118 Ole Taylor Place, Ashford, AL 36312.
Mr. Lewandowski was born on February 17, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Ludwing and Helena Lewandowski.
Henry (Ski) was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he proudly served our country. After retirement, Mr. Lewandowski served as a chef in the Merchant Marines. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. In his spare time he enjoyed going to Beef O’Brady’s and watching Alabama Football.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Johnnie Ruth Alford Lewandowski, his daughters, Janet L. Toucheck, Lori Thibodaux and all of his siblings.
He is survived by his children, Martha Martin (Delbert), Jim Alford (Carol), Larry Alford (Becky), and Stevie Lewandowski (Jamie); grandchildren, Chanci Mascelli, Kip (Erin) Alford, Wesley (Shaunda) Martin, Kyle Martin, Chase Alford (Amanda) Pace Hayes (Drew), Shelby Peacock (Kyle), Holly Lewandowski, Hayes Duplantis (Christine); great grandchildren, Ayden Martin, Adalynn Martin, Bailey Martin, Austin Alford (Shayla), Alexandra Mascelli, Keller Alford, Camellia Alford, MacKenzie Alford, Lainey Grace Alford, Eliza Smith, Landree Hayes, Rawlins Hayes, Baylor Hayes, Ruth Peacock, Dayton Lewandowski, Blayden Duplantis, Nia Duplantis, and Brooklynn Duplantis; Special niece and nephew, Lucille Kowalski, and Michael Kowalski (Arleen).
Serving as pallbearers will be; Wesley Martin, Kyle Martin, Kip Alford, Austin Alford, Chase Alford, Drew Hayes and Kyle Peacock. Serving as honorary pallbearers are his dear friends; Larry Lemons, Tracy Sullivan, Patrick Kennedy, and Darren Stevens.
