Mr. Henry Clinton Hardy of Dothan passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. He was 94.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Cloverdale United Methodist Church with Dr. Sam Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 P.M. Sunday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cloverdale United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hardy was born June 27, 1923 to the late Thomas and Nancy Givens Hardy. He was a charter member of Cloverdale United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, a lay leader and in many other capacities in the church. He served his country in the Navy during WW II. He was honored last year as a Liberty’s Legacy Super Citizen in a ceremony held at Dothan High School.
Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Wilma Baxley Hardy; son Mickey Hardy; granddaughter Blayne Hardy Barfield; and two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include sons Donnie (Pam) Hardy, Tim (Starla) Hardy, daughter-in-law Cindy (Mickey) Hardy, grandchildren Celeste (Scott) Butler, Sabrina (Tom) Renshaw, Bryant (Paige) Hardy, Brandon (Courtney) Hardy, Joy Hardy, Brooke (Tim) Patton, Justin (Blayne) Barfield, Brent Hardy, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
