Mr. Henry Lamar Chandler, age 62, of Brantley, AL passed away, Monday, May 30, 2016 in Brantley, AL. 


Memorial services will be announced at a later time.


Lamar was known mostly as “Hotdog”.  He was a police officer in the town of Brantley for over 35 years, served as police chief for over 15 years.  He had a passion for motorcycles and R/C planes.  He was a member of the Rose Hill Aviators.  Lamar was very well respected and loved by many.


Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Chandler and Laura Jeanett Bodiford and a brother Lloyd Chandler. 


Survivors include his daughters, Laura Chandler, Brantley, AL and Megan Chandler, Luverne, AL; three grandchildren, Zadie K. Chandler- Burgans, Khloe B. Chandler- Burgans, Myles Chandler, “brother”, Charles Miller (Phala), close friends, Ricky and Virginia Compton and special caregiver, Angela Holloway.
