Henry Leon Hunt of Webb Al. went to be with the Lord at the age of 88 following an extended illness. Leon’s passing took place in his home on March 23, 2015.
Leon was an army veteran of WWII. His career following his service included truck driver, mechanic, and assistant supervisor with the Houston County Sanitation Department from where he retired. Leon was a man of many interests including drag racing in his younger days, deer hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a beloved member of Selma Baptist Church and loved dearly by his family and all who knew him.
Leon is survived by his wife of sixty six years Marjorie Hunt of Webb, AL. Survivors also consist of daughter Judy Clardy and husband Richard Clardy from Midland City, Al. Grandchildren include Chris Clardy and wife Angel of Columbia, Al. and Todd Clardy of Midland City, Al. Great –grandchildren include Clint David Clardy and Abby Clardy both of Columbia Al. Living brothers and sisters include Jack Hunt of Dothan, Al, Shirley Todd, Dothan Al, and Edna Richards of Newton, Al, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends, Thursday from 6-8 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at the Ward Wilson Chapel at 2:00. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Selma Baptist Church Dothan, Alabama.
