Herbert Jerome "Jerry" McAdams

Herbert Jerome McAdams, better known as Jerry, passed away on October 18, 2023, after a brief illness at Flowers Hospital. He was 66.

Jerry was born in the outskirts of Tuscaloosa, Alabama on December 12, 1956, to Garland Letcher McAdams Jr. and Louise House McAdams. He found his best friend and love of his life in Lynn Hughes McAdams, and they were married on October 21, 1978, until her passing in 2021. Jerry had a love for woodworking in his shop, which is where he could build anything, riding his motorcycle down back roads, going on small getaways, and weekend lunches with his daughter. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by so many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Survivors include his only child, Ashley McAdams. His brother, Compie McAdams (Melissa). Close friends, or as he called them, brothers, who he loved and held dear to his heart, John Jerry, David Thompson, and Allen Thompson. Several nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
