EUFAULA. . .Herman Grice, a resident of Eufaula, died late Saturday night September 28, 2019 at his home. He was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday October 2, 2019 in the Lakeside Christian Fellowship with Reverend Mickey Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Motuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the church sanctuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Lakeside Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 218, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mr. Grice was born and reared in Grangerburg in Houston County, son of the late Lester B. Grice and Myrtle Lee Anderson Grice. He served his country in the Army National Guard in the Ashford unit. Mr. Grice lived in the Midland City area before moving to White Oak Shores on Lake Eufaula in 2000. He was retired from Box USA as Warehouse Manager. Mr. Grice was a member of the Lakeside Christian Fellowship. He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Adams, a brother, Sam Nathan Grice, and a son-in-law, Jeffrey Todd.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandra Bolen Grice; a daughter, Patti Todd, Lovetown Community; two sons, Keith Grice (Hope), Dothan; and Marty Grice, Milton, FL; four step-daughters, Stephanie Robison (Steve) and Bridget Taylor, both of Dothan; Michel Huff (Sgt. Major, Jason), Ft. Bragg, NC; and Cheryl Bates (Major Terry) Eglin Air Force Base; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
