Mr. Hilburn Wayne Mims of Dothan passed away Wednesday November 9, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. He was 75.


A graveside memorial will be held Saturday November 12, 2016 at 2:00 at the old Daleville City Cemetery on Daleville Avenue, Daleville, AL next to McLin’s Restaurant.


Mr. Mims was born August 16, 1941 to the late Hilburn Mims and Maureen Ethridge Seymour.


Wayne was a proud Navy Veteran. After the Navy, he was self-employed in the plumbing and electrical business and owned Southern Junction Sports Bar. He loved all people and was eager to lend a helping hand at anytime for anyone. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Harrell Mims; one son, Larry Dwayne Mims (Renee); one daughter, Nancy Mims Sloop (Philip); one grandson, Drew Alexander Patchett; two brothers, David Mims and Larry Mims (Glenda) all of Dothan; one sister, Joyce Sherbino of Texas; one sister in law, Janice Mims of Dothan; a number of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and best friend, Jasmine.
