Hobson Eugene Walden Sr. of Enterprise, AL passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation. He was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Mike Griggs and Rev. Brian Leatherwood officiating.  Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Clayhatchee, AL with Searcy Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.

Mr. Walden was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Richard and Bessie Vera Walden; a son, Brett Eugene Walden; brothers, John Curtis Walden, and Kenneth Walden; and a sister, Faye Carmichael.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, June Walden, Level Plains, AL; two daughters, Kimberly Brandhuber (Scott), Montgomery, AL; Tressa Bridges, Tallahassee, FL; three sons, Richard Lee Walden (Sebeourn), Lucedalle, MS; Hobson Eugene Walden, Jr. (Brittany), Mt. Clemons, MI; Richard Brady Walden, Elba, AL; ten grandchildren, Logan-Rylee Lynn Walden, Alexandria Walden, Tessa Walden, Lyla Grace Walden, Hobson Eugene Walden III, Ruth Walden, Michalla Williford, Brooke Rash (Jason), Jennifer Grayson (Richard), Joel Merrill (Mary Elizabeth); brother, Rex Walden; sister, Anne Nunn (Dan).
