Holman Loyce Waters

Holman Loyce Waters of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Medical Center Enterprise.  He was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, September 16, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. 

Holman proudly served in the United States Army for 30 years and dedicated his life to his country. Following his military service, he retired from Civil Service at Fort Rucker, where he continued to contribute to the community and support those around him. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life; Holman was known for his love of the outdoors and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His children and grandchildren often sought his guidance and support, a testament to the strong bond he cultivated with his family.

An avid sports enthusiast, Holman was a devoted fan of University of Alabama football and the Atlanta Braves. His passion for these teams brought him joy and served as a way to connect with others who shared his enthusiasm.

Holman leaves behind a legacy of service and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Annie Merle Waters.

Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Polly Waters, Enterprise, AL; two children, Tim Waters (Kim), Enterprise, AL; Fran Cunningham (Joe), Enterprise, AL; five grandchildren, Chase, Aaron (K-Lee), Easton (Hayden), Cole (Sabrina), and Michael Waters; six great-grandchildren, Madison Grace, Noah, Jaxson, Cotter, Haze and Alyssa.
