Howard Ernest Gresham, 70, of Midland City, AL passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his residence.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Coley Holloway officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Gresham was born July 1, 1942 in Washington, Georgia and resided the early part of his life in Lincolnton, GA. He resided in Ashford for 18 years prior to moving to Midland City in 2007. Mr. Gresham was employed as a carpenter and was also employed with Farley Nuclear Plant until his disability. He served as a paramedic with Ashford for several years while living there. He was a member of the Effectuals Gospel Quartet and performed all over the Wiregrass area. Mr. Gresham was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Barber Gresham and a sister Claudell Turner.

Survivors include his son Doug Gresham (Nancy); a daughter Sheila Allen Davis (Will); 3 grandchildren, Paul Davis, Abby Gresham, and Sam Gresham; 2 great-grandchildren, Bailey Morgan Davis and James Wilson Davis; a brother Wendell Gresham; sisters Jane Guillebeau and Vonnie Gunby; several nieces and nephews.
