After becoming unable to work, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, and watching his grandbabies grow up. Born June 26, 1954, he was loved by many friends and family. Alford is preceded in death by both parents, Hubert Douglas Adams, and Jo Helen Gilley Holland, brothers, Howard Adams, Danny Adams, and Connie Adams, sister, Esther Harris. Alford is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Jackson of Samson, Alabama, siblings, Rita Brunson (Randall), Cindy Rushing (Lamar), Denise Hendrix, Allen Adams, and Christerfer Shugart, his four children, Deanna Snyder (Zach) of Samson, Alabama, Travis Adams of Defuniak Springs, FL, Sherry Addison (Eric) of Talladega, AL, Virginia Johnson of Panama City, FL, and one step daughter, Denise Moore of Quincy Florida. He was also survived by 15 grandchildren, Cameron, Mason, Hayden, and Lillianna Johnson, Laney Cosson, Ivy, and Cali Adams, Jordan, and Subrina Mitchell, Catherine Paul, Lacey, Cody, Kenyuatta, and Destiny Johnson, and John Rhykar Adam Snyder.
