Hubert Franklin “Old Man” Farmer, age 68 a lifelong resident of Dothan died early Wednesday morning December 19, 2018 in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday December 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Angels at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care with Reverend Judy Dyson officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Cemetery in Dothan. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Angels Friday one hour prior to services. Serving as active pallbearers will be Andy Farmer, Tyler Farmer, Brandon Braswell, Lamar Braswell, Billy Brunson, Scotty Lingo and Shaun Lingo.
Hubert was born in Dothan son of the late Marvin Farmer and Leila Love Farmer. He was the former owner and operator of Nationwide Tree Service in Dothan. Hubert loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing with his grandson. He attended New Freedom Church in Webb. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters Ann Floyd, Mary Creamer, 2 brothers Donald Foy Farmer and Joe Farmer.
Survivors include his daughter Shea Farmer of Montgomery, 2 brothers Aaron Farmer, Max (Shelia) Farmer all of Cowarts, 3 sisters Peggy Lingo of Kinsey, Patricia Hughes of Dothan, Barbara (Steve) Gatewood of Ozark, 2 grandchildren Lara Leah Farmer, Kile Miliner, several nieces and nephews and a very special friend Brandon.
Care for the Farmer family is being provided by Randy Crenshaw, Jason Shepard and Staff at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care.
