HUGH  ALVIN  STEED,  JR.

 

PANAMA CITY, Florida.  . .  Hugh Alvin Steed, Jr., a resident of Bay Center Nursing Home in Panama City, Florida, formerly of Webb, Alabama, died Thursday March 29, 2012 in the nursing home. He was 78.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 30, 2012 in Gardens of Memory with Mr. Kenneth Davidson officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.

            Mr. Steed was a native of Heard County, Georgia but lived in Webb before moving to Panama City. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Steed was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ham Steed; two sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Lillian Hutto and a brother, Billy H. Steed.

            Surviving relatives include two brothers, Jack Steed and Wendell Steed; a special friend, Kay Rucks, Cowarts, Alabama.
