Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel before the funeral.

Imogene Ogburn, a resident of Newton passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at home. She was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Monday, March 7, 2022 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel before the funeral.
Ms. Ogburn was born on April 30, 1930 in Coffee County. She was loved dearly by her family, church family and the community. She was known to everyone as “Granny.” She loved spending time with others at the Newton Senior Center. She loved everyone with a heart as big as Texas and was always looking for ways to help others. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Newton, Alabama.
Ms. Ogburn was preceded in death by her son, Marty Ogburn.
Survivors include her children, Lanetha (Butch deceased) Bass, Terry (Sherrie) Ogburn, Donna (Barry) Westmoreland, Rhonda (Steve) Peterson, Wanda Maxwell; daughter-in-law, Terri Ogburn; as well as 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
