Iva Irene Cochran, 92, a resident of Dothan, died Friday, December 8, 2023, at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating. A private entombment will follow with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday prior to service time. Flowers are being accepted.

Mrs. Cochran was born April 29, 1931, in Geneva County to Marcus and Dena Russell Cochran and lived the early years of her life there. In 1968, she and her family moved to Dothan. Mrs. Cochran worked as a seamstress for many years in various sewing factories. She and her husband also had a newspaper route that they operated for several years. In later years she kept children and worked in the food service department with the Taylor Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Cochran was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband, Clarence Houston Cochran, a sister, Martha Morris, and three brothers, Treadwell Cochran, Walter Cochran, and Earl Cochran.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Davis (Bob) of Dothan; a sister, Margaret Creamer of Geneva; two brothers, Raymond Cochran (Karen) of Dothan, and Billy Cochran (Joyce) of Willis, Texas; a grandson, Michael Davis (Vickie); great-grandchildren, Devan Davis (Haley) and Kayleigh Davis; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Gentiva Hospice and the staff of Wesley Place (South 1) for the compassionate care given to their loved one.
