Jack Allen Gillman, 72, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at a local hospital.


Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Brother Wallace Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.


Mr. Gillman was born November 18, 1939 in Houston County and lived most of his life here. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed as a tile installer for several years until his retirement in 1992. Jack was an avid Alabama Football fan and NASCAR fanatic.


Survivors include his wife Joan Gillman of Dothan; a step-son John (Gloria) Johnson of Highpoint, NC; a brother-in-law Bobbie (Denise) Boren of Lake City, FL; a niece Barbara Ann.
