DOTHAN…Jack Bland Fincher, a resident of Dothan, formerly of Abbeville, died early Wednesday morning, April 3, 2019, in a Dothan hospital. He was 84.


     At Mr. Fincher’s request, there will be no services.


     Mr. Fincher was born and reared in Abbeville, son of the late Jack Mathis Fincher and Julia Bland Fincher. He was a 1952 graduate of Abbeville High School and attended the University of Alabama, Auburn University and the Georgia Military Academy. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Mr. Fincher served his country in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959. He was a member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church. Mr. Fincher was preceded in death by his brother, Charles L. Fincher, Sr.


     Surviving relatives include his sister-in-law, Dana Fincher, Panama City Beach, FL; two nephews, Charles L. Fincher, Jr. and Howard Fincher.
