Jack Kenneth Swinehart, 68, a resident of Ozark, died Monday, August 3, 2015 at his residence.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015, at First United Methodist Church with Revs. Mike Sigler and Megan Kelly officiating and Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 Thursday.
Mr. Swinehart was born in Akron, Ohio July 25, 1947 to the late Jack and Mary Swinehart. Jack was a graduate of Auburn University and also obtained an MBA from Troy. He retired after 20 years of service in the Army. After his retirement he went on to work for Bell Helicopter in their International Marketing Department. He was an active member of the Ozark community, where he attended First United Methodist Church of Ozark and was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Gideons. Mr. Swinehart was also a member of the Rotary Club and President of AUSA.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Faye Swinehart of Ozark; two sons, Jack Kenneth Swinehart II (Jennifer) of Maryland and Justin Swinehart of Ozark; one granddaughter, Lauren Swinehart; three sisters, Mary Lou Riester (Gary), Jane Griffin (Dennis) and Debbie Adams; one brother, Richard Swinehart (Connie), and a host of special nieces and nephews.
