Jackie Charles Gillis of Geneva, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. He was 65 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on  Friday, January 14, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Jackie was born in Ft. Walton Beach, FL on September 23, 1956 to the late Charlie and Elzie Holliday Gillis. Mr. Gillis was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He was also a gun enthusiast who enjoyed working on and rebuilding guns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two brothers, Bobby Gillis, and Johnny Gillis, and one sister, Judy Carroll.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lorna Mixon Gillis of Geneva, AL; one daughter, Jamie Johnson (Jason) of Geneva, AL; one son, Charles Eric Gillis (Whitney) of Geneva, AL; two grandsons, Troy and Kai Gillis both of Geneva, AL; one step granddaughter, Kinley Johnson of Geneva, AL; one sister, Helen Key of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; and many special nieces and nephews.
