Jackson Parker Jennings was granted his angel wings on October 28th, 2016, at the young age of 13, following a lifelong illness. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jackson had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise, AL.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until service time.

Jackson’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Although Jackson’s illness made him appear frail, he possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges, that is why we called him our “Super Jack-Jack”. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.

Although we will miss him every day, he will forever remain in our hearts.

Jackson is survived by his loving parents, John and Amy Jennings of Enterprise, AL; brothers Preston, and his wife Yeeun, and Harrison; grandparents John and Martha Jennings of Enterprise, AL; Clifton and Peggy Blakely of Athens, AL; nephew Jax Jennings, Enterprise, AL;  Uncles and Aunts Sean and Jennifer Hooie, Terry and Tina Hendrix both of Athens, AL; Tom and Kathrine Lewis of Dothan, AL; Cousins Loran, Luke, Tyler, Trenton, Claire Isabelle, and William; He was predeceased by his granddaddy Bud Hendrix of Athens, AL.
