JACQUELINE ANN “JAKI” CARLISLE MILLER


NEWVILLE… Jacqueline Ann “Jaki” Carlisle Miller, a resident of Newville, Alabama, passed away Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024, at a Dothan hospital. She was 61.


Services will be planned at a later date.


          In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or www.stjude.org; Shriners Children’s, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, www.lovetotherescue.org.


          Mrs. Miller was born in Waynesboro, Mississippi to the late Jackie Carlisle and Joanne Jackson James. She had previously lived in Enterprise, Alabama, Dothan, Alabama, and Headland, Alabama, before moving to Newville, Alabama about thirty-four years ago. Jaki was a 1981 graduate of Dothan High School. She was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America Counsel. She worked at the Newville Café, The Hot Dog Shop, and lastly at Todd Farms. She was an avid Alabama Football fan. She had a love for music, all different types, but especially Tina Turner and Bryan Adams.


          Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Oliver Miller.


          Leaving to cherish her memories is her son, Alexander Miller of Headland, AL; and her half-sister, Kimberly Cryer (Ryan) of Huntsville, AL..
