Jake Monroe Smith

Jake Monroe Smith passed away on December 24,2019. He was 31 years old.

Jake was born on April 10, 1988 to Phillip and Amy Smith in Texas. He graduated from Dale County High School, Class of 2007. After High School, he went into the construction business. Jake enjoyed fishing in rivers, riding his motorcycle, and hunting for arrowheads with his family. He was known for being a country boy with a heart of gold and could always put a smile on someone’s face with his fun-loving attitude. He will be dearly missed by his family and his friends.

Jake was preceded in death by his Mother, Amy Lualice Smith; his paternal grandfather, Leslie Van Smith; and his maternal grandparents, Dowell Monroe and Phyllis Joe Cauthen.

He is survived by his father, Phillip Smith; his son, Brayden Smith; his brothers, Wade and Derek Smith; his nieces and nephews, Kyler, Kalli, Kayla, Morgan, and Savannah Smith; his paternal grandmother, Wanda Charlene Smith; and his girlfriend, Taylor Kennemer.
