James Alfred House Sr., 71, of Slocomb, passed and went home to be with our Heavenly Father, on January 22, 2021 at Flower’s Hospital.
Due to COVID and taking an abundance of caution, the family has decided there will be no public viewing.
The family will be holding a private, immediate family only, graveside funeral and ask everyone to please respect their decision and privacy during this time.
James Alfred House Sr. was born July 7, 1949 in Lumpkin, Georgia to the late Schoval and Louise House. He married the love of his life, Betty Ann House, on November 18, 1974 in Donalsonville, Ga. After proudly serving in the United States Navy, he created a good life for him and his family by owning and operating a small construction company.
There was not many things in life that moved or motivated him besides Jesus and his family. In his last days, he expressed his love and peace knowing he was ready to see Jesus. His family is soaking in the comfort of knowing that as his spirit left this world, he was welcomed in the presence of God with hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant…”. So the family ask that during this time of loss and grief everyone remember the verse they are holding to, “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18 ESV)
The family ask that all flowers, donations, and food be delivered and sent to his wife Betty House 328 Old Fadette Road, Slocomb, AL 36375.
