James was born on September 20, 1964, to the late Sandra Robinson Stallworth Harrison and Richard Lee Harrison, Sr. Growing up he enjoyed football, watching wrestling, and boxing. His favorite boxer was Muhammad Ali, and his favorite movie was Rocky. Even though he had issues he always had a smile and enjoyed talking to people. You would always see him walking with his shades on no matter what season. “Cool Daddy Poppa Rock” was the nickname he loved to go by and when he was called that he would proudly puff out his chest in excitement.
Though he was not with us in the last years of his life, he was loved and thought about daily. Our memories of him will forever be cherished, whether it was big, small, happy, or sad. If you knew James, you were blessed. The family takes great solace in knowing that all of James struggles are gone and that he has that big smile along with his shades on as he has joined his family in the presence of his Heavenly Father.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Harrison.
He will be remembered in life by his brother, Richard Lee Harrison, Jr. of Samson, AL; sister, Linda Marsh of Samson, AL; her children and grandchildren, Darell Marsh, Jr.(Denise), Brooklyn Alexis Marsh, Lindsey Marsh (Marquete), Skylar Arianna Marsh, Shaquille Marsh, Shawnelle Marsh, Ava Michele Coleman, Carson Ray Marsh, and Kensley Noelle Banks; brother, Willie Harrison of Red Oak, TX, along with, Justine Harrison; brother, Bobby Harrison of Rochester, NY; sister, Glinda Baldwin of Montgomery; her children, Cassandra Baldwin, Kimberly Baldwin, William Baldwin, and Christopher Baldwin; and brother, Earthy Harrison of Samson, AL.
We say our goodbye and will weather this storm knowing it was for a resin known only to One Being.
