HEADLAND…James David Tice, a resident of Headland, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Tumbleton. He was 50.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan, with Pastor Vann Cooley officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremation is in charge of arrangements. Social distancing guidelines and masks requirements will be observed.
Mr. Tice was born in Dothan, son of Patsy Watkins of Hodgesville and the late Willie Gene Tice. James lived in the Hodgesville and Headland areas all his life and became medically disabled as a young man. He loved to fish, spend time with his family, was the “Best PaPa in the World” and was of the Baptist faith. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cortney Elaine McCullough, a son, Jessie Lee Tice, and a nephew, Matthew Tice.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Cynthia Deese (Cindy) Tice of Headland; daughter, Ashley Cunningham (Ryan) of Newton; five sons, John David McCullough (Darah) of Rehobeth; Justin Tice (Melissa) of Port Allen, LA.; Jeremy Lee McCullough (Amanda) of Dothan; Tyler Tice (Cortney) of Dothan; and David Tice of Headland; three brothers, Billy Tice (Joy), Bobby Tice, both of Hodgesville; and Travis Tice (Candace) of Rehobeth; 12 grandchildren, Kane Buckhalt, Bella Cooley, Rollin Wright, Arrilynn Tice, Rider Wright, Linleigh McCullough, Cortney Cunningham, Brady Helms, Abbigail Tice, Logan McCullough, Leo McCullough Trip McCullough; and his special friend Joe Masters.
