WEBB. . .James Earl Cobb, a resident of Webb, died early Monday morning, January 24, 2022, at his home. He was 54.

       Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Pastor Blake Williams and Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be observed.   The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

       Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church “Building Fund”, 2220 Otis Buie Road, Webb, AL 36376.

       James Cobb was a lifelong resident of Webb and attended the Houston County High School in Columbia. He was employed by the City of Dothan since 1988 as an Operator III in the Environmental Services Department. An avid Auburn fan, James enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his family and friends especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. James was preceded in death by his father, Allen Cobb, his mother, Juanita Hand Money, his step-father, Jimmy Wayne Money and a brother, Ricky Cobb.

       Surviving relatives include his wife, Lynn Shirley Cobb, two daughters, Kristie Cobb, Webb; and Hannah Cobb (Aaron Sanders), Headland; a son, Christopher Cobb (Rachel), Webb; a sister, Renae Snellgrove, Dothan; a brother, Dr. Ray Cobb (Kay), Webb; two half-brothers, Joe Cobb (Angel) and Jason Cobb (Pam), two grandchildren, Mason Cobb and Hayston Cobb; several nieces and nephews.

       Serving as active pallbearers will be Ricky Cochran, Bruce Cochran, Rex Kirkland, Tommy Shirah, Nathan Cobb, Caleb Cobb, Cody Reichert and Eric McKenzie.
