James Earl "Jim" Howell, 71, of Ozark passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, February 8, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Stone officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Howell was born October 1, 1941 in DeFuniak Springs, FL and lived the early part of his life in Trenton, TN. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. He later was employed with the Army Education Center in Ft. Stewart, GA as a career counselor. Jim was a 1982 graduate of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN.
Survivors include his wife Patsy Howell; sons, Patrick Howell, James (Melanie) Howell, and David (Renee) Howell; step-sons, Todd (Jinnifer) Aman, and Daniel Clemmons; a step-daughter Andrea Clemmons; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Bob, Tom, and Mike; sisters, Ann, Kay, Jan, and Kathy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
