            James Earl Pipkins of Jack, AL (Haw Hill Community), passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Flowers Hospital.  He was 76 year old.

            Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 17 at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church cemetery with Rev. Shirlie Ellis officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church on Friday beginning at 1 pm and will continue until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haw Hill Cemetery Fund, 17996 Hwy. 125, Jack, AL 36346.

            Mr. Pipkins was born November 28, 1935 in Pike County, AL to the late Daniel Richard and Eula Taylor Pipkins.  He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served in Viet Nam, and was retired from Civil Service.  He attended Haw Hill Assembly of God Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Pauline Hallford, Irene Holder and Doris Hughes.

            Survivors include his wife, Pastine Pipkins, Jack; 1 daughter, Debbie Ditmar, Brownsville, TX; 1 son, David Scott Pipkins, Texas; 3 step children: Ledon Crawley (Linda Gail) and Brenda Maxie (Billy), all of Jack, Marie Faulk (Randy), Ariton, AL; 1 sister, Nancy Pipkins and 1 brother, John Pipkins (Sheila), all of Brundidge, AL; 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 8 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
