TAYLOR…James Edward “Buddy” Kelley, a resident of Taylor, Alabama died Monday, March 7, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. He was 75.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:30 P.M. Thursday evening, March 10, 2022, at Holman–Headland Mortuary.
James Kelley was born and reared near Columbia, son of the late James Carlton Kelley and Bonnie Edmondson Kelley. He lived in the Dothan area most of his lifetime. James was formerly employed by the Frankie E. Ingram Vault and Monument Company and also by Davis Roofing Company. He was affiliated with the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church where he formerly drove the church bus. James was preceded in death by a son, James Ray Kelley, and a grandson, Anthony Neil Mims;
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sue Kelley Mims (Kenneth), Dothan; two sons, Johnny Kelley, Taylor, AL; and Jerry Lee Kelley, Cowarts; two sisters, Shirley Kelley Clements and Margie Patterson, both of Dothan; a brother, Robert E Kelley (Geri), Columbiana, AL; two grandchildren, Keisha Marie Mims and Michael Kelley, three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a great-great grandchild on the way.
