COTTONWOOD. . .James Hudson “Jim” Lamb, a resident of Cottonwood, died Thursday morning, December 20, 2018, in Medical Center Enterprise. He was 88.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 29, 2018, in the Cottonwood City Cemetery with a eulogy to be given by Phil Elsea. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the gravesides services.
Mr. Lamb was born in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, son of the late Chester Carl Lamb, Sr., and Lucille Bridgers Lamb. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Lamb and his wife, Bobby Cook Lamb, owned and operated the Cottonwood Drug Company for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobby Cook Lamb, his son, Jimmy Lamb, a grandson, Sam Elsea, and his brother, Chester Carl Lamb, Jr.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Anne Gardner (Jim), Eufaula; and Jane Elsea (Phil), Piney Flats, TN; five grandchildren, John, Kate, David, Kay and Leah; four great-grandchildren, Fischer, Lydia, Rosemary and Lilly Anne.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
