SHORTERVILLE...James Jackie “Jack” Williams, a resident of Henry County, between Haleburg and Shorterville, died Saturday afternoon, July 4, 2020, in a Dothan hospital. He was 64.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2020, in the Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ray Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Social distancing guidelines will be observed. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Jack Williams was born in Dawson, Georgia, son of the late Richard Weakley Williams and Emma Marie Hart Williams. He lived in Panama City, Florida before moving to Shorterville. Jack was medically discharged from the U. S. Army. He was self-employed as a landscaper. Jack was preceded in death by a sister Arlene Whitehead and a brother, Wayne Williams.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Terri Roberts Williams; a daughter, Koral Williams, South Carolina; and a son, Dwayne James Williams, Georgia; a sister, Peggy Harnage (Carol), Americus, Ga; several nieces and nephews including Justin Reynolds and his wife, Amanda, Shorterville.
