A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Military Honors will be rendered at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 9:00 am prior to the service.

James Michael “Mike” Spradley, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at a local hospital. He was 75.


A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Kocsis officiating. Military Honors will be rendered at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 9:00 am prior to the service.


Mike was born on August 5, 1947 in Sylacauga, Alabama and was a 1965 graduate of Sylacauga High School. After high school, he joined the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. Once his tour was complete, he returned and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in economics. He also earned his Masters degree in Economics from Auburn University. Mike was an instructor in economics at Enterprise State Community College from 1975-2010. He also taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at Fort Rucker. Mike loved playing music and most any sporting event, especially Auburn football. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.


Mike was preceded in death by his parents, James Lewis and Margaret Wilhite Spradley.


Survivors include his wife, Ann Spradley; his children, James Philip (Katie) Spradley, Jill Spradley, Jill (Justin) Lord and Ally (Chris) Smith; his grandchildren, Jaxon Smith, Caroline Smith, James Avi Spradley and Evie Lord; his siblings, Tim Spradley, Chris Spradley and Cathy Sorrell; and several nieces and nephews.
