JAMES  PAUL  POWERS



ABBEVILLE...James Paul Powers, a resident of Lake Eufaula in Henry County, died Tuesday night, June 04, 2013, at his home. He was 79.


            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 06, 2013, in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Brannon Stand, in Dothan, with Reverend Tim McCraney officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


            Mr. Powers was born in Dale County and lived in the Dothan/Midland City area most of his lifetime. He was retired from the Alabama State Department of Transportation. Mr. Powers was preceded in death by his parents, Ewell Wilson Powers and Maude Moody Murphy Powers; three sisters, Louise Barnes, Rochelle Woodham, and Rainer Inez Powers; and a brother, Hart Wilson Powers.


            Surviving relatives include a brother-in-law, Frank Barnes, Abbeville; a special friend, Ricky O. Laney, Abbeville; several nieces and nephews.
