JAMES R. “RANDY” RENFROE
HEADLAND… James R. “Randy” Renfroe, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Saturday night, November16, 2024, at his home. He was 68.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Brother Jimmy Steege and Brother Harrison Steege officiating. Eulogies will be given by Brother Keith Brady, Darryl Dunnam, and Braydee Renfroe. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Renfroe was born in Orlando, Florida to the late James Ralph Renfroe and Pinkie Lee Tidwell Renfroe. He was the assistant manager of O’Reilly Auto Parts in Headland, before having to retire due to his illness. He was a member of the New Life Gospel Center in Tumbleton, Alabama. Randy was a member of a few Gospel singing groups, which included, The Brady’s and Southern Sound. He also played bass at his church, New Life Gospel Center. He was a great man, and no one could say a negative word about him. Randy fought for himself and for his family and loved them unconditionally.
Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Lois Shelley.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his loving wife of fifty years, Brenda Joyce Armstrong Renfroe; his daughters, Christy Bruce (Aaron) and Jamie Lynn Rushing (Ken); his sons, Jonathan Renfroe (Mylinda) and Lance Renfroe (Regan); his sisters, Barbara Powell (Brad), Sandra Nell Richardson (Tony), and Nora Lee Whitehead; his grandchildren, Tyler Floyd (Marla), Blake Floyd (Kayte), Seth Faison (Katlin), Dylan Rushing, Cheyenne Renfroe, Judson Renfroe, Alyssah Renfroe, Braydee Renfroe, Caileigh Pugh, Scott Pugh, Blake Pugh, Brittany Bruce, and Ethan Bruce; his great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Anthony, Paisley, Taylor, Eli, Kynslie, Rhylinne, and Addilyn; and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Tyler Floyd, Blake Floyd, Seth Faison, Dylan Rushing, Ken Rushing, and Chucky Brinkley. Serving as a honorary pallbearer will be Judson Renfroe.
The family would like to thank everyone that has supported the family through this journey: Dr. Steve Fendley, Dr. Burton Pfeiffer, Dr. Brad Marker, Dr. Krishna Basarakody, Dr. Donovan Wewers, and a very special thank you to SouthernCare Hospice, and family friends Kara & Kevin Brannon. We love you all & thank you all for the prayers & support that was given through the hospice care. They would also like to extend a personal thank you to his church family at New Life Gospel Center, and surrounding community churches for their thoughts and prayers.
