James Ralph Moore, a resident of Lovetown passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, unexpectedly at his residence. He was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Lovehill Assembly of God Church with Reverend Gene Dickerson and Reverend Greg Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Glover Funeral Home, Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted.
Ralph was born January 5, 1943, in Houston County, and spent most of his life in the Lovetown community. Following school, he began working in the sheet metal industry for Hayes International – PEMCO and retired after 41 years. Ralph enjoyed playing baseball & softball as well as hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by, his parents; an infant daughter, Pamela Jean Moore; three sisters, Verna Nell Dunn, Bobbie Murray, and Dorothy Knight.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Jean Moore of Lovetown; three sons, Buddy Moore (Connie) of Dothan, Sammy Moore (Amanda) of Dothan, and Kenny Moore (Sonya) of Lovetown; six grandchildren, Shaylee Warr (Clint), Staci Minschew (Chase), Trey Moore (Victoria), Zack Moore, Colby Moore (Ireland), Chelsea Gilley (Garrett); eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Moore, Charles Love, Clint Warr, Chase Minschew, Garrett Gilley, Zack Moore, and Trey Moore.
