Mr. James Robert “Bob” Drinkwater of County Road 5, Kinston, Alabama passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. He was 74.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Minister Kevin Presley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Drinkwater was born August 9, 1941, in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Rufus Leslie and Lois Ezell Drinkwater. After more than 30 years of service he retired as an automobile finance officer. He enjoyed bird hunting and Alabama “Roll Tide” football. James loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a member of the Carmichael Masonic Lodge in Enterprise.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Drinkwater; one step daughter, Karen Ann Kelley, both of Enterprise; three grandchildren: Jessica (Josh) Wendel, Krystal (Patrick) McNally all of Enterprise and Anna (Shane) Atwell of Dothan; two great-grandchildren: Brycen Wendel and Gibson McNally both of Enterprise; one brother and sister-in-law, Terry (Diane) Drinkwater of Echo; a number of special cousins and friends.
