James Ronald Grantham “Ronnie” of Ariton, Alabama, died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 65 years of age.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 2:00 pm, at Ozark First Assembly of God with burial following at Bethel Assembly of God in Ariton with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, July 25, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Ozark First Assembly.
Mr. Grantham was a truck driver for over 40 years and served in the National Guard. He attended Ozark First Assembly. Ronnie, an avid fisherman, loved life and he especially loved his family.
Mr. Grantham was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Gertie Mae Grantham; two sisters, Annette Danner and Willie Mae Bowman; and brother, Rev. Don Grantham.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Grantham of 27 years; three daughters, Ami Batchelor (Robbie) of Ozark, Misty Pelham (Kendall) of Ariton, and Nikki Dorsett of Lexington, North Carolina; three sons, Kris Grantham (Heather) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Matt Grantham (Kristen) of Dothan, and Blake Grantham (Tasha) of Lexington, North Carolina; three sisters, Merle Baker (Dwight) of Midland City, Carolyn Edmondson (Ira) of Jack, Deborah Hussey of Ariton; sixteen grandchildren; and a very special niece, Rhonda Speigner.
