James Ronnie Glover, age 64, a resident of Headland, passed away on April 25, 2019 at Flowers Hospital.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Reverend Don Clark officiating and Kendall Glover directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
Ronnie retired from an aviation contractor at Fort Rucker. He was a member of IAM Local 2003. He was a patriot and proudly served his country in the United States Army and Air Force.
Ronnie was a renaissance man with an old hippie soul. He had many hobbies that included: blacksmithing, gardening, antiques, metal sculpting, knife making and general carpentry.
He was a member of the American Legion and Appalachian Blacksmith Association. He believed in hard work, living off the land and thinking outside of the box.
He was preceded in death by his father Cletus Glover, his mother Jewell Floyd, stepfather Roy Floyd and Brother-in-law Grady Bryant.
Ronnie leaves behind to cherish his memory 2 sisters, Wanda Bryant of Grimes and Brenda (Frankie) Barnes of Gordon; a brother Mike Glover of Newton; 2 nieces April (Jerry) Harris of Ozark and Bama (Jason) Penn of Dothan; 2 nephews Jerrad (Sandra) Bryant of Newville and Adam (Katie) Adkinson of Cottonwood; 4 special great nieces and nephews Madison Bryant, Dale Harris, Abby Harris and Collin Adkinson; and numerous friends.
