JAMES RUDOLPH JOHNSON
HEADLAND.…James Rudolph Johnson, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 23, 2020, at his home. He was 74.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel with Reverend Tom Chestnut officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Saturday before the service at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.
R Mr. Johnson was born in Houston County to the late Gaston Rudolph Johnson and Ollie Irell Thompson Johnson. He lived around that community and the Pleasant Plains Community all of his life. He was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of James Johnson Tree Service.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Portivent.
Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Ann Gamble Johnson; his sons, Terry Johnson (Misty), Michael Johnson (Melissa), and Allen Johnson (Linda) all of Headland, AL; his brother, Quinton Johnson of Malvern, AL; his sisters, Joanne Chason (Joey), and Betty House (James); his grandchildren, D.J. Johnson, Haley Johnson, Kaila Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Alissa Grace Johnson, Curtis Peters, James Delaney (Allison), Elizabeth Wilkes, and Jason Delaney; his eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Robert Mitchell, Clayton Stacey, Randy Stine, Chad May, Drew Keel, and Quinton Johnson. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Curtis Peters.
