James Wilson Riley of Chancellor, AL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Dothan, AL.  He was 82.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. John McCrummen officiating.  Burial will follow in Mims Hill Cemetery in Geneva with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2 until 3 pm.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Christian Mission or Wounded Warriors.

Mr. Riley was born November 26, 1930 in Columbia, AL to the late Mertlowe and Bessie Hudspeth Riley.  “Riley”, as he was known to his family and friends, founded Riley Auto Electric, which he owned and operated in Enterprise, AL for 48 years.  He was a loving, funny, kind and generous man who loved life.  He was a very curious and inquisitive man, and he loved to discuss politics, current events, nature and science.  Riley wanted to help others and would often do so in ways so that he could remain anonymous.  He was dearly loved by many and will be sorely missed.  He lived the last 19 years of his life on Lake Windsor in Chancellor.  He dearly loved his home on the lake and the friends that surrounded him there.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mincy Riley, Chancellor; his daughters: Cindy (Joey) and Janine; sons: Daniel (Cindy) and David (Young); 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; nephews: L.G., Tom and David; a special great-great-niece and great-great-nephews.
