James Wyatt Todd

Born In Houston County, Alabama on December 16, 1942, to the late Randolph O. and late Brunice Clark Todd. He grew to be an extremely intelligent man, an outstanding researcher who had many things credited to him throughout his life. In his retirement, he found joy in becoming a pine tree farmer. He enjoyed his work, so much that he use to say he felt as though he'd never really worked a day.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Wesley Chapel UMC Cemetery in Hartford with Dric Williford officiating and under the direction of Shelby Lett of Bottoms Garden Chapel.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Julia Barnes Todd of Hartford; children, Jason Wyatt Todd (Tammy) of Cornelius, North Carolina and Matthew Justin Todd (Keri) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren, Justin Todd, Abigail Todd, Lily Todd, and Charlie Sparks; siblings, Ronnie Todd (Miriam), Joel Todd (Tammy), and Janice Kirkland (Mike); along with several nieces and nephews.

The family asks if donations be made in his honor, they are to the Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery Fund.
