Jamie Leigh Ruppel, 22 our beloved daughter and granddaughter of Napier Field passed away Thursday July 25, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Norman and Rev. Norman Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5pm until 8pm Friday evening.

Jamie was born October 10, 1990 in Dothan and she lived most of her life in Midland City and Napier Field. She was a 2009 graduate of Dale County High School and she was currently attending Troy University and was seeking a degree in social work at the time of her illness. Jamie loved children and recently went on a mission trip in Costa Rica in March of 2012. She was a member of Baptist Campus Ministries, Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy and Grimes United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Traci and Greg Ballard, and John Ruppel, II; her grandparents, Thomas and Joyce Skeen and Jessie Ballard; her brother, Jon and Charlotte Ballard; her sisters, Jennifer (Ryan) Geri, and Joanna (Dylan) Medley; her niece Christina Geri; her aunts and uncles Mark Skeen, David and Michelle Woods, Dianne and Wayne Gilliland, Beverly and Kylan Tanner, Brenda and Greg Snell, Robert and Darlene Ballard; two special friends, Olivia Dew and Lauren Cash; a host of other friends and family.
