Jan Caroline Dorriety Reidenbach, a resident of Owens Cross Roads, AL and formerly of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Guntersville, AL. She was 74 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Pkwy, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.

Ms. Reidenbach was born August 29, 1943 in Houston County, AL and lived the early part of her life in Dothan and was a 1961 graduate of Dothan High School. She was homemaker and a stay at home mom while raising her children. Ms. Reidenbach later worked with the FAA in Flight Services as an Air Traffic Control Specialist in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rosewell New Mexico and settling in Anderson, SC until her retirement in 2005. She enjoyed square dancing and was an avid thrift store and garage sale shopper. Ms. Reidenbach was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Anderson, SC.

Survivors include her sons, John Lesley “Les” (Jeanette) Chafin and Lawrence Eugene (Wendy) Chafin; a daughter, Cynthia Elaine (Donald) Wallwork; grandchildren, Isabelle, Jonathan, and Emily Chafin, Tanner and Adam Chafin, Jacob, Caleb, and Samuel Wallwork; a brother, Joel (Peggy) Dorriety; a sister, Delores Dorriety Martin; several nieces and nephews and double first cousins.
