JANE WEEMS MICKLER
HALEBURG….Lucy Jane Weems Mickler, a resident of Haleburg, died early Sunday morning, July 1, 2012 in a Dothan hospital. She was 58.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Bob Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Haleburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163 or to Calvary Baptist Church “Playground Fund”, 310 Dothan Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mrs. Mickler was a native of Haleburg, daughter of the late Robert F. Weems, Sr and Madlynne Gail Cobb Weems. She lived in Jacksonville for several years before returning to Haleburg in 2005. Mrs. Mickler was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by a sister, Wylean Blair and two brothers, Jackey Lynn Weems and Robert F. (Bobby) Weems, Jr.
Surviving relatives include three daughters, Alden M. Smith and husband, Chad; Amy M. Alwardt and husband, Ryan and Aneita M. Shaw and husband, Joshua, all of Jacksonville, FL; five brothers, Perry Dean Weems, Tallahassee, FL; Wayne Weems, Haleburg; Joe Weems and wife, Tina, Tallahassee, FL; Johnny Ben Kendell, Headland; Orville Harrison and wife, Lisa, Abbeville and Allen Harrison and wife, Charlotte, Andalusia; six grandchildren, Hope, Adam, Johnna, Candace, Reese and Tristan; aunts and uncles, Mary (Aunt Mag) Weems, Haleburg, Martha (Aunt Jean) Sanders, Abbeville and Nicodemus (Uncle Nick) Weems, Haleburg; father of her children, Kenny Mickler, beloved father-in-law, Sidney Mickler, both of Palm Valley, FL.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
