          Janet Lynne Smiley of Daleville Ala passed away on May 25 at NW Florida Community Hospital in Chipley Fla from complications of Covid at age 59. Janet has had multiple health issues over the past years but just was not able to win this battle.

 

           Janet graduated from Daleville High in 1978 was employed with Civil Service in Savannah, and transferred to Ft. Rucker. She also had worked at Walmart in Customer Service for many years.  She was a member of Daleville Baptist Church.

 

          She was preceded in death by her mother Helen E. (Beth) Smiley, her father Albert Brooks Smiley and her beloved sister Barbara Gail Smiley.

 

          Survivors include her sister Susan Smiley Shepard (Bobby) of Albany, nieces Elizabeth Bland  (Matthew), Sylvester GA, Sarah Budde (Brent), Winter Park FL, and sister Kathy Barefield  (Bill) of Skipperville, AL,  along with a host of first cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

          Due to the Covid pandemic there will not be a service at this time. Memorials may be made to your local animal shelter.
