Janet Welby Williams, 78, of Dothan, AL and Panama City Beach, FL, passed away August 10, 2020 after a brief illness.

Janet was born October 7, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Herbert and Janet Baker Heisterkamp. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and then the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts in Ibero-American Studies. She was a retired public-school teacher, teaching Spanish to many middle and high school students in New York, Georgia and Alabama. She was passionate about her faith and was a parishioner of St. Columba Catholic Church. She enjoyed serving her church community by bringing Communion to the sick and volunteering at the church thrift store.
In addition to her parents, Janet is predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, Richard.
Survivors include her children, Brennan (Amy) Williams of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Terrence Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY, Mary (Michael) Buntin of Marion, AL, and Aileen (John) Clayton of Ashford, AL; her stepchildren, Richard (Loretta) Williams of Akron, OH and David Williams of Akron, OH; her brothers, Bruce (Carol) Heisterkamp of Crossville, TN and James (Sherry) Heisterkamp of Lancaster, OH; her sister Robin Kriegs of Venice, FL; her grandchildren, Abigail, Brady and Ryan Williams, Wesley and Amelia Buntin, Tanner Clayton, and Wyatt and Megan Williams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
